Man Down

Allo!So I finaly got to zie posting on dees blog ja.
I am out of the game for a while, minimum of 6 weeks as I broke my elbow in Southampton on Wednesday night in an almost flat backed,1.5m fall onto concrete.Worst fall of my life.A few xrays,3 days in hospital and a bit of surgery later my elbow is now screwed in to keep itself together but is obviously weakened and can barely support my arms weight right now.
I would also like to mention that as of mid-last week there is now an easier to remember url linking to this site in the form of http://www.purityparkour.cjb.net.
Cya in 6 weeks time.

First NHPK Video and Updates

Today saw the upload of accouple of videos and photos, yes there arent many at the moment, for one reason me and Ben will be starting work on an extremely fast arrangement for a NHPK video "#1", which will contain footage from February and March's Portsmouth Jams as well as Gym Sessions from this week.

The Second reason is i intend on adding more soon and havent had the time.

Over the next week or two i have every intention of making available a new set of hotspots for portsmouth once some extensive photos are taken.

UPDATE : Videos and Photos added to Gallery

GYM SESSION NEWS , UFF PKW3 and Updates

So, from Sundays Jam , Ben was up in andover from uni and I as well as Stuz were feeling tired and aching from the the Jam as well as the previous week we were not sure whether we were all going to be able to survive Mondays Gym session.

But looking back is was worth it, Alot of warming up was required but eventually the aches went to the back of our minds and went through basic drills, and proceeded to go forward onto flowing kongs which is looking good but different to the less dynamic almost two footed Kongs.

Though both can be done on the move , from discussion at the Uff workshop and portsmouth jam realising it would be more important to get a one footed take off and it is reaping its rewards and takes its place in training from now on. I Managed to proceed with Callum and developing our Wallspinning technique but feel 1 nights practice is not enough currently so "repetition is very important" as a wise French man once said. I didnt manage to further my somersault practice with there being alot of demand for the trampolines.
Ben has got hang of Dash's which is great news and look forward to see him doing them outside so look out for Gallery updates!

Callum , Ben , Stuz among the practice went on to doing large Cat to 270 Cat's. Unfortunately Stuz seems to have a Foot problem also involving some swelling which reoccured in the session and hope will be well for next week, im sure he'll post progress.

Gym News
We were all informed tonight of great news that another Gym session will now commense on a Wednesday , So we will now have the ability to train in the Gym twice a week , though this will not always be the case but a BRILLIANT development and i shall soon be organising Andovers first Parkour workshop....

Sunday 3rd April sees the Third installation of Workshops from UFF in London and the list has gone up and am 99% sure I , Stuz as well as Callum and accouple of friends will be going as our names are on the list, so a substantial group of us going...

Ill Be updating the Gallery with Images and small clips as well as a video compiled by Me and Ben from the 2 previous portsmouth jams and this weeks gym session. Unfortunately we dont have expensive footage but enough for out first....

Portsmouth Jamfest

I Must apologise for the lack of last weeks updates.... So ill just add each seperatly now.

21th March, Saw mine and Stuz's first portsmouth jam, and i have to say i really enjoyed it, with meeting people from SCP and experiencing portsmouths spots
for the first time a very worth while experience.

I got down to portsmouth the night before and stayed at Bens to hopefully not experience trouble with transport on the day.
The Jam started at 12:00 from the Guildhall and most people were there before we got there inluding stuz who got the ferry over from the other side of the water....
We Spent a reasonable amount of time at the [guildhall] and saw everyone using the obstacles in their way , and then a short walk round the corner to a good spot and
further onto [Old Portsmouth] which was great for high wall run practice, turnvaults and just about all other technique's.

After some time here we walked onto Southsea's [ Pyramids ] which was great for precision practice for everyone as well as roll and wallspin practice up and down not too steep inclines.
BluePrint left us from here and we eventually moved back to guildhall for food and to finish up a jam with great weather.

Eventually bit by bit everyone left , and me and Ben were left to train further till 5:30 and then ventured homeward exausted on the train.

A Very good day and experience. Thanks for everyone who took part and organised.....

UFF workshop 2.....

Stuz attended the first and unfortunately the places got filled quickly and i therefore made the list.
I ended up missing my train into london and walking alot mainly because the of engineering works, story of my life, i got to the session late by which time
the introduction and such had passed and therefore the session was a sort of free for all by then but made the most of the 3 hours i had in the gym....

The Energy from so many freerunners ranging from no experience to very experienced was a benefit and managed to drill basic moves which are the most important
and meet some very cool people from portsmouth and Newbury.

Its also good to get advice from more experienced people in how they approach their parkour training and got afew good tips from some of the UFF krew.
The Day ended and my legs weary and only just managing to keep me up and got home in good time.

A very worthwhile experience and i cannot wait to attend the next, the Andover Gym session is great but having advice from other freerunners is priceless...
Attend one if you can.

Nhpk and Urban Freeflow workshops

Well the site has progressed from Beta to Version 1 with a final push since everything seems to have been getting in the way.... The site is 95% functional at the moment considering the hosting for the site currently and the gallery will soon become populated ;) but hosting will surely change in accouple of months before the summer.

Version 2 design will be an ongoing project till then.

Parkourwise , ive been off with quite severe Calf strains which i did 2 weeks ago... ouch . and managed to get to the regular gym session on monday and really enjoyed myself. I , following in stuz's footsteps from last week will be attending the second UFF workshop....
i can't wait, though i dont feel i will learn too many new techniques it will certainly allow freerunner socialising and drilling and maybe getting ideas.

Ill post a possibly long review of the day on sunday since it will be a relatively long train journey there and back.
